Meeting Diversity, Seeking Commonality: International students in America
This is an account of the international students who come to America for school. They are coming from all the corners of the world and are willing to share their diversity of interests and experiences. They are also confronted with an Americanization that beckons the melting pot but on certain European standards. According to the International Institute of Education, international students contribute approximately $12 billion dollars to the U.S. economy, International students have an external view of America that Americans do not have. Everyone speaks with an accent. Sometimes we forget that fact. Some people believe they have no accent, but that others have accents.
